Pigs, cattle and other livestock are declining in Europe. The European Commission has therefore prepared a strategic plan to keep farmers afloat while reducing their dependence on imported feed. The Czech Ministry of Agriculture welcomes the plan, but at the same time warns that without money and fairer rules, the situation of farmers will not improve.

The Radegast brewery in Nošovice in the Frýdek-Místek region will reconstruct a beer bottling line for approximately 600 million crowns. It will also be equipped with automation using artificial intelligence and modern quality control systems. The brewery's director Ivo Kaňák said it to ČTK in Ostrava today.

Hail in the Břeclav region destroyed half of the vineyard harvest in some places

Tons of damaged grapes, which could have been thousands of bottles of wine. This is due to a hailstorm that swept through the South Moravian region on Wednesday afternoon and damaged vineyards in parts of the Břeclav region. According to Martin Půček, director of the Winemakers' Association of the Czech Republic, hail hit up to half of the harvest in some places, so he estimates the damage at tens of millions of crowns.
