St. Clare Vineyard plans expansion for sparkling wines
The St. Clare Vineyard in Prague produces 8,000 to 10,500 litres of wine per year on three hectares of planted areas. It grows many varieties from which it prepares a wide range of different types of wines. The vineyard would like to expand in the future, including grapes exclusively for the production of sparkling wines. Vladimíra Egertová, the head of the St. Clare Vineyard, said it to ČTK.

For the second year in a row, hops have been growing and maturing in an unusually high-lying hop field – in Vysočina on a slope near Humpolec. The Family Brewery Bernard established it almost within sight of its premises. The second harvest took place on the hop field at an altitude of 560 meters.

Hunters in South Bohemia hunted 185,200 game animals last season. This is by 4,000 fewer than a year earlier. They most often shot feathered game, which are ducks and pheasants, In all, they hunted almost 137,000 of animals. This follows from current information from the Czech Statistical Office.
